Every pool removal project starts with proper permitting and planning. This stage also includes reviewing site conditions, confirming equipment access, identifying utilities, and planning the best approach for the job. Careful planning upfront helps avoid surprises and keeps the project on track.

Before pool demolition begins, equipment is disconnected and removed, including pumps, filters, electrical lines, and plumbing. Licensed electricians and plumbers handle utility disconnects, and utility providers are contacted to mark all underground gas, electric, water, and communication lines.

Preparation includes clearing access routes and removing obstacles like fencing or low tree limbs to create safe paths for equipment. If the pool is near the house, saw cuts are made to separate the concrete deck from the foundation, protecting the structure from vibration and impact during demolition.

Once the site is prepared, we begin the pool demolition process by breaking up the concrete shell, pool deck, and any associated structures. We use hydraulic hammers, breakers, and excavation equipment to safely and efficiently remove the pool. 

Concrete, rebar, and debris are hauled off-site to an approved disposal facility — we never bury debris on the property. Clean, responsible debris removal is a critical part of the process to prevent future settling issues and ensure the area can be safely backfilled and reused.

After the pool has been demolished, the pool cavity is backfilled with clean fill material, typically a mix of soil and gravel, depending on site conditions. Proper compaction is one of the most important steps in this process. Without compaction, the ground can settle over time, leading to low spots or unstable soil where the pool once was.

We backfill in layers and compact as we go using mechanical compaction equipment to reduce air pockets and prevent future settling. Once the backfill is complete, we grade the area smooth to match the surrounding yard and ensure proper drainage.
