Residential Excavation

The building pad is then shaped, compacted, and finished to meet plan specs, creating a stable base for foundations, driveways, or other structures. Whether it’s a new home, addition, or detached building, we focus on precise grading, proper compaction, and a clean, build-ready site.

Rock Excavation & Trenching 

Rock excavation is a big part of working in Central Texas. We use hydraulic hammers and heavy equipment to break and remove limestone and other hard material when standard digging isn’t enough. Each job is planned to reach grade accurately without overcutting or damaging surrounding areas. Whether it’s a foundation, driveway, or utility trench, our focus is on controlled removal, safe operation, and leaving a clean site ready for the next phase of construction.

Building Pad Construction 

Building pad construction depends on proper subgrade preparation. Many properties in Central Texas sit on expansive clay soils that retain water and shift with moisture changes, which can lead to foundation issues if the ground isn’t corrected.

 

Proper sub grade preparation starts with identifying and removing any expansive or unsuitable soils, followed by excavating to the required depth. We then rebuild the pad with select fill or engineered material placed in controlled lifts.

 

Each lift is moisture-conditioned and compacted to the density specified by the builder or engineer. This approach creates a stable, well-prepared subgrade that supports long-term performance for new foundations, home additions, driveways, and concrete slabs.
